I use Winexplorer.  Its the easiest to use.  Set your comm port under the configure heading (i.e. comm 1).  Do not change the other settings.  Then read the card (under card heading then read card info).  If it reads the card then you have the program configured correctly.  Then open the xpl files below one at a time and run them.  Its under the heading file open script.  If you have problems with the card not taking the programming, its probably because your updates are set to the wrong setting.  Make sure the USW=26.  When you read the card check to make sure the usw is set to 26.  If not run the up26 script file first.  If you have any questions email me.  I would be glad to help you.  These script files came from the #Magic irc chat channel.  If i can't help you these people CAN!  Make sure you disconnect power to the programmer when inserting/removing the card.  When magicact10 is available as freeware i will have it posted here.  Make sure you edit the magicact7 file for you timezone and zipcode.  The instructions to do this are in the file.
 

Run the xpl files in this order:

Step1:    up26 (if usw=26 skip this step)
Step2:    magic1a
Step3:    clean (this step optional)
Step4:    magicppv
Step5:    clean
Step6:    magiact7

Try running magic1a first.  Then run the others.  You have to experiment with your card.  Once you remove the stock programming, it will be very easy to program.  Most often you will use this procedure to program.

    magic1a
    magicppv
    clean
    magiact7

Try different combinations till you get it to program.  Some cards are stubborn.

When tiers drop out of your card  run xpls in this order:

Step1:    wipeppv (resets the ppv counter)
Step2:    magiact7

If you experience channels disappearing that means that a certain number of tiers have been 00'd.  Run the above xpls to reprogram all the tiers and reset the ppv counter.
